Custom Batman The Death of A Legend Painted Statue kit by Spangler Art Studios:
I must confess that I only found out about this statue some days ago. It comes out that this is known as the 'holy grail' of Batman models, and because its rarity and theme you have to agree it's a well-earned title.
I have some issues with the anatomy of the model, in particular the legs, they don't seem right somehow, still an amazing piece:
The sculpture by Susumu Sugita was released in 2000 limited to 1000 pieces. The rarity can easily be confirmed by Googling it; there are no many pictures or information related to it. As put by an eBay seller: "... it really is the stuff of legend!".
Batman on a crucifix is a very controversial image, and there are heavy debates on-line about its validity as a piece of art, its shock value and how offensive to religion it is. At the end of the day, it is what is: "an incredible piece of pop culture" based on a fictional character, and I'd like to get one.
At 3 feet (91.44 cm) tall this is the "biggest Batman statue of all time!". It's based on the famous Simon Bisley Batman, but there are different versions depending on the painter or artist who finished it. Some elements stay the same though: the Joker seems to be the executioner, maybe some Poison Ivy involvement, the shots, etc.
Some pictures of another version:
