One of my Christmas gifts!!! I've picked a couple of Batman HeorClix figures before, always a nice addition to the shelf.
This figure is the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh which curiously is the first one of this kind that I have. It was Batman 113 (February 1958) that saw the first appearance of Tlano, The Batman of Zur-En-Arrh, written by France Herron and drawn by Dick Sprang.
Years later Grant Morrison got in the charge of the Batman series (2006) and started using references from the original Silver Age comic like the now popular 'Zur En Arrh' phrase, Grant defined the Batman of Zur-En-Arr as a back up personality that Bruce Wayne created in case his mental ability was questioned, this persona is supposed to be more violent and out of control than the regular Batman.
The figure is meant to be a collectable miniature to play the HeroClix game. The figure is really good looking, despite the small size the detail of the painting, the quality of the sculpt and the dynamism of the pose make this piece a great one for displaying. In addition, the colourful suit of this Batman alternative incarnation makes it even more attractive and displayable.
The figure's package:
