Lego The Batman Movie Magazine: Limited Edition Batman

Finally, they gave us the opportunity to get a Batman mini-figure from The Batman  Lego Movie without having to buy a pricey full set. The idea of a monthly magazine is more than welcome. I'm  still not sure if this magazine will have a mini-figure every month or not, but I'll stay alerted to grab some other mini-figures that I would like to add to the shelf.

So, what makes this one a Limited Edition then? Well, there are some elements that I have not seen on previous Batman mini-figures. First, and the most notorious for me, is the utility belt that like in the movie is not printed but 3D, the sculpt is well done and with a good amount of detail in the pockets and the buckle, it also has pockets in the back. And second, I may be wrong here, I think is the cape, I don't think I have seen this material, it feels closer to cloth than the usual paper one.

A third feature could be as well the head, apparently this 'Head Type 2', one of three types of heads released across all The Batman Movie Sets and its mini-figures.

Head Type 1

Head Type 3

Nevertheless, the head has a dual-sided face. One, as usual, is a smiley/happy face and the other one is the angry/frowned one.

The rest of the elements of the mini-figure are more conventional, the print on the front is the same Lego has been using since the Super Heroes series started, and it could be argued that even before that. The batarangs (Batman brings two of them this time) and cowl are also re-used from previous releases.

All this work more as observations than criticism, I like the Lego Batman mini-figures, any of them, I would like to have them all, so I'm always happy to get a new one wherever is possible, so really happy with the new family member!!!

This is the 'Lego The batman Movie' Magazine:
