Lego The Batman Movie Mini-figures: Catman

The LEGO Batman Movie is almost here and on my second attempt to get a new mini-figure from it... I got Catman, I got fooled by the pointy ears when feeling the blind bag.

The design of this figure is basically the design of the New 52 version, which is an update to the character designed as a villain by Bill Finger and Jim Mooney in the 60's. Catman (Thomas Blake) these days is more of an anti-hero and has regained a lot of popularity among comic fans, hence his inclusion on this set as a consequence of a cameo in the movie.

The figure is very accurate to his comic source, the colours the scratch logo on the chest, and the straps holding the cape. One noticeable change is the belt, that reuses the one that in yellow would be Batman's belt. Another detail is that the cape looks a bit short in comparison with the figure.

One noticeable detail is the claws, it reuses the claws from the Wolverine figure, the original character has some kind of claws, but they look more like metal knuckles rather than long blades, that's why when I saw the figure for the first time it looked like a mashup between Batman and Wolverine. Does anybody remember Dark Claw?

Despite this lazy detail from Lego, the figure is very nice, printed boots (the yellow stripe in boots and glows is missing), front and back printed, accurate facial print, etc, and looks very nice and in theme with the rest of my growing Lego mini-figures collection.
