Kidrobot DC Comics - Kozik Batman Labbit

Finally got this one in a bid!!! It's been long since I saw this figure and I liked it a lot, I didn't know anything about the character or the artist behind him, so I was surprised that I actually saw some of his work. Really happy to add Labbit to the Shelf.

The iconic, smoking and unshaven rabbit character, Labbit, was created by pop artist Frank Kozik (famous for his rock poster art), and later adopted by Kidrobot in 2003. Like Hello Kitty, Labbit lives only as merchandise, coming as collectable figures or printed on clothing.

The 'original' Labbit:

Another popular incarnation of Labbit:
The Batman Labbit figure has a simple clean, yet very cute shape. Wearing the classic blue/gray colours in homage to the classic Batman look.

Even when Labbit's looks very angrym it doesn't mean that he looks any less funny.

Something that only can be described as genius is the addition of lunch bag accessory with the "love (hearth) Alfred" written on it. The bag clips to a little hole in the figure.

It also seems Labbit has been fighting crime heavily, he shows all kind of printed cuts and injuries all over his body. Also printed are the cape, belt, bat-grapple, a flashlight and his wallet?! The painting is very nicely done and detailed making it a very nice figure to display.

The packed Labbit:

Batman Labbit is part of a 6-figure set:
Batman.
Bane.
Green Lantern.
Superman.
Cyborg.
Red Hood.

There is also a 7" Batman Labbit variant, which is more expensive than the 2.5"figure. It looks really nice though:

But I found this one on eBay, which I presume is a 2.5" knock-off, therefore without the cape and the Joker card (it's on the post!!!):
